Sneak Peek at the Presentations:
Business analysts are often asked to work with raw files such as CSVs and turn them into clean, usable SAS datasets that can support downstream analysis. In this session, participants follow a realistic analyst workflow that starts with messy CSV inputs and ends with a trusted, analysis-ready SAS table. Using Microsoft Copilot as a coding and thinking assistant, the session demonstrates how to import external files, inspect and clean data, standardize values, identify join keys, combine datasets, and validate results along the way. Emphasis is placed on prompt quality, analyst judgment, validation, and professional SAS coding practices in a regulated banking environment.
This session will demonstrate an agentic fraud-screening pipeline that fuses computer vision with OCR-plus-LLM reasoning and operationalizes both in SAS Intelligent Decisioning. Documents and images are parsed via OCR; a language model evaluates numerical and semantic consistency to flag anomalies characteristic of synthetic artifacts. In parallel, a computer-vision model projects inputs into an embedding space and uses distance-based signals to detect image generation artifacts. A global decision model then combines the CV distance features with the OCR/LLM outputs to produce a calibrated risk score that supports policy-driven actions (auto-approve, human review, reject). The solution is orchestrated end-to-end in SAS Viya with execution flows and dashboards for monitoring and extension to new modalities.

Afternoon Training Session 1, Fundamentals of Forecasting in SAS
Taught by David CorlissHere is the course description: The SAS system has many powerful tools to leverage time series data to forecast future values and outcomes. This class proivides a solid grounding in the fundamentals for forecasting with SAS. TThe course begins with handling time series data, including lagged variables and seasonality. Forecasting methods include time series regression, ARIMA, and ARCH / GARCH. New this year are Unobserved Components and working with an interrupted time series, where a sudden change in the history of the data inpacts future forecasting. The interrupted time series will be especially useful for people working with federal data sources affected by recent changes in collection and content.Offered In-Person or Online.
Afternoon Training Session 2, ODS Graphics: Mastering Custom Graphs with Graph Template Language (GTL)
Taught by Richann WatsonAnyone who has produced a graph using ODS Graphics has unknowingly used the Graph Template Language (GTL). ODS graphics produced by SAS® procedures such as the Statistical Graphics (SG) procedures actually rely on pre-defined templates built with GTL. GTL generates graphs using a template definition that provides extensive control over its format and appearance. Although most of the graphs produced within a procedure are adequate for most situations, they sometimes lack those one or two extra features you need to really make your graphs stand out and impress your clients or customers. GTL, as an extension of ODS Graphics, allows users much greater flexibility in creating specialized graphs. In this class, you'll learn how to use GTL to create complex, highly customized graphics that you could only dream about before. We'll cover the different types of layouts provided by GTL as well as various types of plots. The focus of the course will be on three specific layouts (i.e., OVERLAY, GRIDDED and LATTICE) and the more common types of plots (e.g., BARCHART, BLOCKPLOT, BOXPLOT, HIGHLOWPLOT, SCATTERPLOT and SERIESPLOT). Through the use of detailed examples, you will learn how to build your own template to make customized graphs and how to create that one highly desired, unique graph that at first glance seems impossible.Offered In-Person or Online.
